I use Google Reader 2-4 hours every day. And now, Google is shutting Reader down. Sad, sad times. It's going to be difficult to do much of my work now.
Google, if you're tracking this, please don't shut Reader down. <cry>

I'm right there with you. I wanted to cry when I saw that Google Reader is shutting down in July 2013. But, I went to my Social Media Network of choice, For Immediate Release, and found all kinds of suggestions.
I just added Feedly and connected it to my Google Reader. Voila, I'm back in business. All my subscriptions, favorites, etc. Plus more! Check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Thanks, Debbi. I've tried out Feedly a bit, and it's fine. It's slow, missing some key hotkeys, and not super smooth. Also, it's missing the ability to create an RSS feed from my tags and does not have a standalone page, making it unavailable in IE 10. Also, from what my best friend tells me, the mobile view is pretty frustrating. But that may have to do... sad times.
Thanks for the suggestion! I do like how everything immediately populated.
